Caring for animals is more than just looking after pets at home, it also includes having respect for wild and stray animals in the community and understanding that each animal is precious and unique. Animals not only have basic needs such as diet, exercise and good health, but also deserve to have a happy life. If we can imagine life from their point of view, we will have a better understanding of their feelings. The word "happy" is a simple and direct expression of positive feelings. The good welfare of animals depends very much on the love and care we show them. This is also the foundation to building a harmonious society.
This parent-child workshop promotes the key message that "animals have feelings too". The workshop will also have a creative element, teaching children how to make models of different animals, giving the chance for parents and children to have some fun together!
Guided by instructors, participants can use their creativity to build their own "happy animal" with PIXIO magnetic blocks, an activity which also helps symbolise that we need everyone’s input in building a harmonious society with animals.
